Stefanie Stahl opens new restaurant in Trier to foster human connection

German psychologist and bestselling author Stefanie Stahl has opened a new café-restaurant named ‘Heimat’ in Trier. The establishment, which includes a large beer garden, is intended to serve as a physical space for human connection.

Stahl expressed that the project fulfills a 40-year dream to create a venue where people can gather and experience real-life encounters. She noted a growing trend where individuals seek face-to-face interaction as a remedy for the perceived emptiness of digital communication and social media.

As part of the venue's concept, Stahl plans to introduce a ‘Bar-Therapie’ (Bar Therapy) format, allowing guests to engage in discussions with her regarding various psychological topics. The name of the restaurant is a reference to her 2015 bestseller, ‘Das Kind in dir muss Heimat finden’.
