Stefano Bandecchi calls for urgent inter‑institutional table on SS 675 road works

Province of Terni President Stefano Bandecchi sent a letter to ANAS, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Umbria Region and the National Union of Consumers (Uncu) demanding an urgent inter‑institutional meeting. The aim is to produce an updated timetable and safety plan for the ongoing works on state road SS 675 between Amelia‑Narni and the San Gemini interchange.

The request follows a unanimously approved provincial council motion on 25 June, which stemmed from a consumer‑union complaint. Bandecchi warned that the works have reduced the road to a single lane, forcing drivers onto secondary routes and heavy‑vehicle traffic onto provincial roads, increasing accident risk. He also highlighted the negative impact on the regional economy and tourism, and asked for documentation of safety measures already adopted.

The president urged the involved authorities to adopt further urgent measures to ensure traffic safety and to minimise disruption for daily road users in Umbria and Lazio.
