Stefano Bandecchi to close La Foresta hotel in Vallombrosa
Stefano Bandecchi, the entrepreneur and Mayor of Terni, has announced the closure of his hotel, Rifugio ‘La Foresta’, located in Vallombrosa within the municipality of Reggello. The closure is scheduled to take place by the end of September.
In a video shared on social media, Bandecchi cited several management difficulties, including water supply issues that necessitate the use of wells. He also claimed that he has been unable to obtain the necessary permits to repair a tank at the facility, a problem he stated has persisted for four years.
Additionally, Bandecchi pointed to high operating costs in relation to the quality of service provided, specifically mentioning issues regarding staff and salaries. Following the closure, he intends to surrender the business license and retain the property as a private villa.
