Stefano Belisari to direct debut film ‘La Crepa’

Stefano Belisari, known professionally as Elio, will make his directorial debut with the film ‘La Crepa’. Written by Belisari and Piero Bodrato, the project is described as an acid comedy inspired by the daily lives of families with autistic children.

The film is being produced by tempesta in collaboration with Rai Cinema and Cinédokké, with distribution by 01 Distribution. Filming is scheduled to begin in November.

In an effort to promote inclusivity, the production is collaborating with PizzAut, a social enterprise focused on job placement for autistic individuals. The cast will include several workers from PizzAut and its founder, Nico Acampora, alongside professional actors such as Pietro Sermonti, Geppi Cucciari, and Paolo Rossi. Producers emphasized the importance of having neurodivergent individuals play neurodivergent roles rather than relying solely on neurotypical actors.
