Stefano Bizzotto and Gianfranco Coppola to receive Salvatore Di Giacomo Awards

The 25th edition of the Salvatore Di Giacomo Award will host a ceremony in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi on Thursday, August 27. The event features the Francesco Degni section, which honors excellence in sports journalism.

This year, the prestigious awards will be presented to Stefano Bizzotto and Gianfranco Coppola. Bizzotto, a prominent Rai journalist and commentator, is recognized for his authoritative coverage of international Olympic events and various sporting disciplines. Coppola, a Rai journalist and author, is noted for his sensitive reporting on the connection between Naples and football.

The ceremony, hosted by Peppe Iannicelli and organized by Pro Loco Due Golfi, aims to highlight journalism as a tool for social analysis and human storytelling rather than mere reporting.
