Stefano Corà elected president of Italy's Fedecomlegno association

The board of Fedecomlegno, the trade body of Italy’s timber import, commerce and processing sector, has chosen entrepreneur Stefano Corà as its president for the 2026‑2030 term. Corà, who has more than thirty years in the wood industry and previously served as vice‑president of the association, said the sector is undergoing a profound transformation driven by volatile raw‑material prices, geopolitical dynamics and increasingly complex EU regulations. He pledged to enhance support for members on issues such as the EU deforestation regulation, traceability of raw materials, digital innovation, training and access to credit, while strengthening dialogue with European and international timber organisations.

Corà added that Fedecomlegno will build on its existing expertise and networks to provide more effective tools for companies to navigate market changes and to reinforce its presence in national and European policy discussions.
