Stefano De Martino plans international direction for Sanremo 2027

Stefano De Martino, serving as both host and artistic director, is planning an international direction for the 2027 Sanremo Music Festival. The event, scheduled for February 16–20 at the Teatro Ariston, aims to increase the festival's global profile through high-profile guests and a more contemporary musical lineup.

Reports suggest De Martino is exploring international collaborations, with names such as Dua Lipa, Vittoria Ceretti, and Leonardo DiCaprio being discussed as potential guests or collaborators. Within the musical competition, there is interest in incorporating more urban and rap artists to engage younger audiences. Rapper Capo Plaza has been mentioned as a name of interest, alongside other artists like Tedua, Kid Yugi, Geolier, and ANNA.

While official negotiations have not been confirmed by Rai or the artists involved, the festival's main competitors are expected to be announced on November 29. The current organizational structure includes manager Fabrizio Ferraguzzo assisting with the cast construction.
