Stefano De Martino plans international guests for Sanremo Festival

Stefano De Martino is preparing for his role as the host and artistic director of the Sanremo Music Festival. As part of a strategy to internationalize the event, De Martino is reportedly looking to secure high-profile global guests, with names such as Anne Hathaway and Julia Roberts being considered for the 2027 edition.

The upcoming festival is expected to feature several structural changes, including a shift from cover songs to performance nights and a more streamlined competition with fewer singers to allow more space for entertainment. New talent will compete directly with established artists, and successful young performers may receive direct access to the Ariston stage.

Comedian Herbert Ballerina has expressed interest in participating in the festival, noting his close professional collaboration with De Martino on programs like 'Bar Stella' and 'Affari Tuoi'.
