Stefano Zarrella to walk 1,000 kilometers from Germany to Rome

Stefano Zarrella, a food influencer and brother of singer Giovanni Zarrella, is embarking on a massive endurance challenge titled ‘Run to Rome’. Starting October 11 from his birthplace in Hechingen, Germany, Zarrella intends to walk approximately 1,000 kilometers to Rome, Italy.

The journey is expected to take nearly a month, with a daily target of roughly 42 kilometers, equivalent to a marathon each day. The route will take him past Lake Constance, through the Alps, and via Florence. This project is connected to the RTL Spendenmarathon charity event.

Zarrella has been preparing for this challenge since December 2025, despite facing several training injuries due to overambition. He stated that the run serves to connect his place of upbringing with his Italian roots and to demonstrate personal capability.
