Stefanos Kasselakis rejects pre-election coalitions for Democrats
Stefanos Kasselakis, leader of the Democrats – Progressive Center, has announced that his party will run in upcoming elections independently, without pre-election coalitions. He criticized the practice of political transfers between parties, describing it as “disgusting.”
Regarding post-election cooperation, Kasselakis stated that while the party is closer to PASOK, he believes PASOK currently lacks credibility as a party and has unclear objectives. He emphasized that any decision regarding the party's role in government formation will be decided collectively by members through an online vote, rather than by him alone.
Kasselakis also criticized the current political landscape, arguing that established parties have failed to deliver economic competitiveness and have overseen a loss of wealth relative to EU subsidies. He further challenged the narrative of stability promoted by New Democracy, characterizing it as a form of political blackmail.
