Stefanos Ntouskos wins gold in men's single sculls at Shanghai Sprints

Greek Olympic rower Stefanos Ntouskos won the gold medal in the men's single sculls at the World Rowing Shanghai Sprints. Competing as part of the World Team, Ntouskos secured the victory with a time of 1:37.90.

In the final, Ntouskos overcame British rower Callum Dixon, who finished second. Irish rower Konan Pazzaia took third place, while China's Deng Zhiwei finished fourth. Ntouskos's path to the gold included a victory over German world champion Oliver Zeidler in the quarterfinals and defeating Pazzaia in the semifinals.

The Shanghai Sprints feature a unique 500-meter course set within the urban landscape of Shanghai's river, characterized by turns rather than a traditional straight track. This victory marks Ntouskos's second podium finish at this event, following his silver medal last year. Additionally, Ntouskos contributed to the World Team's overall success, helping the group secure the top position in the event's general standings.
