Stefanos Tsitsipas advances to second round at Almaty Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas has advanced to the second round of the ATP 250 Almaty Open in Kazakhstan following a three-set victory over American Aleksandar Kovacevic. The match was closely contested, with Tsitsipas overcoming two match points during a first-set tiebreak to win 7-6(9), 3-6, 6-3.

Tsitsipas is scheduled to face veteran Kazakh player Michail Kukushkin in the next round. Kukushkin secured his place in the tournament by defeating fellow Greek player Stefanos Sakellaridis in the qualifying stages.
