Stefanos Tsitsipas Swiss Open Gstaad ATP 250 title drought ranking jump

Greek world No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas captured the ATP 250 Swiss Open in Gstaad on 19 July 2026, defeating Belgium’s Raphael Collignon 6‑4, 6‑7(3), 6‑3 in a three‑set final. It was Tsitsipas’s 13th ATP singles title and his first triumph since winning Dubai in March 2025, making him the first Greek ever to win the Gstaad tournament. The victory awarded him €93,175 and 250 ranking points, propelling him from No. 85 to around No. 55 in the ATP rankings – a jump of roughly 30 places. After a 16‑month title drought and a difficult season marked by injuries and coaching changes, Tsitsipas said the win felt “like running a marathon” and gave him a huge confidence boost. The win also marked a return to form on clay, a surface where he holds a strong record, and it underlines his resurgence on the tour.
