Stefon Diggs acquitted of assault and strangulation charges
Former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs faced a criminal trial in Dedham, Massachusetts over a Dec. 2, 2025 incident with his live‑in personal chef, Jamila “Mila” Adams. Adams testified that Diggs slapped her, placed an arm around her neck and choked her during an argument that also involved a dispute over unpaid wages and a complicated past sexual relationship. The defense argued there was no physical evidence of injury, no eyewitnesses, and suggested the accusations were motivated by financial grievances, pointing to testimony from friends and employees who said Adams appeared unharmed.
