Steinbach celebrates 40 years of Kirmes tradition with 40-meter tree

The Kirmesgesellschaft of Burghaun-Steinbach has erected a 40-meter Kirmesbaum to mark the 40th anniversary of the local fair. Despite rainy conditions and an incident where the top of the tree broke during the lifting process, the tree was successfully installed.

The festivities are scheduled to take place from October 16 to October 19. The program includes a traditional 'Sternpolka' dance involving current and former Kirmes pairs, musical performances by the band 'Rhönfieber', and various community events such as a church service, a Sunday brunch, and a final 'Bockbierabend' on Monday.
