Stella Alpina historical car rally returns to Trentino

The 41st historical reenactment of the Stella Alpina is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 13 in the Trentino region of the Dolomites. Organized by ASI, the event celebrates a legendary road competition that originally ran from 1947 to 1956.

Approximately 80 crews are expected to participate, driving vehicles divided into two categories: ‘Legend’ (built up to 1956) and ‘Celebration’ (built up to 1976). The event began with the first edition promoted by Tazio Nuvolari and saw its first winner, Piero Taruffi.

The program commences on Friday, September 11, with crews arriving at Trento Airport before moving to Piazza Fiera for the first departure at 11:30. The inaugural 150 km stage will pass through Comano Terme, Molveno, Fai della Paganella, Mezzolombardo, Egna, Cavalese, Ziano, and Predazzo, concluding in Moena. The second day, Saturday, September 12, is noted as the most challenging, covering 240 km across iconic mountain passes.
