Stella, former nun, finds new romance at age 63

Stella, a former nun, has found a new romantic relationship with Francesco, 68, at the age of 63. Stella originally moved from Brazil to Italy in 1987 as a 22-year-old novice and spent nearly three decades in religious life.

After 27 years in the convent, Stella decided to leave her vows in 2014 at age 51, seeking a life of greater personal freedom and connection to nature. Following her departure, she faced the challenge of starting over without a home or established career.

Stella and Francesco had previously known each other during her time in the convent, as he performed maintenance work at the facility. Following the death of Francesco’s wife in 2024, the two began dating more frequently in the spring of 2025, transitioning from a friendship into a romantic relationship.
