Stella Lefty grants Noah Kahan writing credit on hit song ‘Boston’

Singer-songwriter Stella Lefty has addressed the inclusion of Noah Kahan as a writing credit on her viral hit song, ‘Boston’. Lefty stated that the similarities between ‘Boston’ and Kahan’s 2022 single ‘Stick Season’ were unintentional.

According to Lefty, she was not thinking about Kahan while composing the track. However, after fans noted the melodic similarities and Kahan’s representatives reached out to express their observations, Lefty and her team decided to grant Kahan a retroactive writing credit to avoid potential legal issues.

Lefty, whose debut album ‘Long Way Home’ was recently released, has also faced public scrutiny regarding her background as the daughter of Groupon co-founder Eric Lefkofsky.
