Stellantis and Factorial launch solid‑state battery Dodge Charger on road and at European festival

Stellantis and Factorial Energy announced that a Dodge Charger Daytona equipped with Factorial’s solid‑state FEST battery completed its first on‑road tests in North America. The 77‑amp‑hour cell delivers 375 Wh per kilogram, exceeds 600 charge cycles, reaches 15 % to 90 % state‑of‑charge in 18 minutes, and can discharge at up to four times its capacity, operating between –30 °C and 45 °C. Integration required modifications to Stellantis’s STLA Large platform and battery‑pack architecture.

The same new‑generation Charger was later presented at the MYLE Festival in Monaco, marking its first public appearance in Europe. Imported by KWA, the model was shown in gasoline SIXPACK and fully electric versions, including the Daytona R/T and Scat Pack variants. The electric models produce 536 hp (R/T) and up to 670 hp (Scat Pack), all with all‑wheel drive. The event highlighted the performance and design of the Charger while underscoring the role of the solid‑state battery technology in future electric vehicles.

Factorial, which went public via a SPAC earlier this year, is positioning the technology for automotive, robotics, aerospace and defence applications, while other manufacturers such as Mercedes‑Benz, Hyundai and Toyota are also investing heavily in solid‑state batteries.
