Stellantis and Wayve advance AI autonomous driving technology

Stellantis and Wayve have announced progress in their strategic partnership to develop Level 2++ supervised autonomous driving technology. During the Wave by Vento 2026 event, the companies showcased the potential of artificial intelligence to create systems capable of perceiving, learning, and adapting to complex real-world environments.

Prototypes of the Fiat 500e and Maserati Grecale, equipped with the Wayve AI Driver integrated into the Stla AutoDrive architecture, have successfully moved from the development phase to road testing in less than four weeks. This follows previous testing success with the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The goal is to implement a generalizable AI driving system that can be scaled across different vehicle models to improve safety and simplicity for drivers.
