Stellantis Autonomy expands mobility and cultural accessibility initiatives
Stellantis Autonomy, an integrated program by the Stellantis Group, is expanding its focus on mobility solutions for individuals with disabilities, reduced motor skills, or special needs. Evolving from a 1995 FIAT initiative, the program now encompasses major brands including FIAT, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Citroën, Peugeot, Opel, and DS. It provides a comprehensive platform of customized driving solutions, financial services, and administrative consultancy, such as manual controls for acceleration and braking and specialized pedal configurations.
Beyond automotive technology, the program is extending its accessibility mission to the cultural sector through the ‘Autonomy for Art’ project. Supported by Stellantis Autonomy, this initiative was presented at the GAM (Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea) in Turin. Developed in collaboration with the association Forword, the project aims to overcome sensory and linguistic barriers by introducing multisensory guides and accessible digital content, making museum collections more inclusive for visitors with sensory, cognitive, or motor disabilities.
