Stellantis claims leading market share in France

Stellantis has reported significant market leadership in France for the first nine months of 2026. The automotive group holds a 28.2% share of the combined passenger and light commercial vehicle market. Its performance is particularly strong in the light commercial vehicle segment, where its Pro One entity claims a 36.9% market share.

Electrified powertrains are a major driver of these results. Stellantis holds 34.2% of the non-rechargeable hybrid market and 31.5% when including plug-in hybrids. However, its share of the electric vehicle market stands at 21.3%, which is lower than its overall market share. In September, Citroën saw a 21.3% increase in passenger vehicle volumes.

Complementing this market position is the integration of Leapmotor, a Chinese electric vehicle startup that joined the Stellantis group three years ago. Founded in 2015 by Jiangming Zhu, Leapmotor has grown rapidly by focusing on affordable, technology-driven electric models, including the S01, T03, and C10.
