Stellantis delays Ram 1500 REV electric pickup production to 2026

Stellantis has postponed the production of the Ram 1500 REV electric pickup truck to the first half of 2026. This shift follows previous delays and reflects a broader recalibration of the company’s electrification strategy.

CEO Carlos Tavares attributed the decision to the need to “align production timing with market demand and ensure proper battery supply chain readiness.” The delay comes amid softening consumer demand for electric vehicles, high production costs, and ongoing challenges in securing reliable battery cell supplies. While the Ram 1500 REV was designed to compete with models like the Ford F-150 Lightning and Tesla Cybertruck, the company continues to rely on its strong performance in gas and diesel-powered truck segments.
