Stellantis increases vehicle production in Italy

Stellantis has seen a significant increase in vehicle production across its Italian plants. According to data from the FIM Cisl union, the company produced 340,745 vehicles between January and September, representing a 28.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

This growth is driven by new models, including the Jeep Compass SUV and the hybrid Fiat 500, as well as the Fiat Panda. The union forecasts that total production in Italy for the full year could reach approximately 450,000 units, up from nearly 380,000 in the previous year.

Despite this recovery, the figures remain below historical levels. For comparison, Stellantis produced 751,000 vehicles in Italy in 2023. While the production uptick provides a reprieve for the company, investor skepticism remains, reflected in the stock's performance which has seen a significant decline since the start of the year.
