Stellantis plant: UGL union demands urgent meeting over production future

The UGL Metalmeccanici union has called for an urgent meeting with Stellantis executives to address economic and employment concerns in the Frosinone province, specifically regarding the automotive sector.

Union leaders, including National Secretary Antonio Spera, are seeking concrete guarantees regarding the future of the Stellantis plant in Piedimonte San Germano. The union is demanding clarity on which vehicle models will be produced at the site and what the future holds for the local industrial supply chain.

Local officials noted a disparity in the region's economic health, observing that while some areas are seeing hiring at companies like Leonardo and ABB, the Cassinate area is struggling with the automotive crisis. The union has issued a joint statement with other national organizations to accelerate discussions and ensure production continuity and job security for hundreds of workers and their families.
