Stellantis to invest over €1 billion in Mulhouse electric vehicle plant
Stellantis has committed over one billion euros to transform its Mulhouse plant in France into a major hub for electric vehicle production. The investment aims to transition the site, which currently employs 4,000 workers, from producing internal combustion models like the Peugeot 308 and 408 to manufacturing next-generation electric and hybrid vehicles.
Starting in 2029, the facility will produce three C-segment electric and hybrid models built on the new STLA One modular platform. The project was presented by Stellantis General Manager Antonio Filosa alongside French Economy Minister Roland Lescure as part of the FaSTLAne 2030 strategic plan.
