Stellantis unveils budget Smart Compact Van for tradespeople and small fleets
Stellantis' Pro One division is expanding its compact van line with the new Smart Compact Van, aimed at craftsmen, small businesses, fleet operators and self‑employed professionals. The model will be offered as the Citroën Berlingo Van First, Fiat Professional Doblò EasyPRO, Opel Combo Start and Peugeot Partner Active.
Key features include a re‑designed cabin with a fold‑away Flexiseat that adds up to 0.5 m³ of cargo space, an optional Modutable folding work‑table, new dashboard storage solutions, a robust front bumper and a range of powertrains: a 110‑hp gasoline engine, two diesel options (100 hp and 136 hp), and a fully electric version equipped with a 42 kWh LFP battery delivering up to 270 km (WLTP). A mild‑hybrid variant is planned for 2027. The simplified equipment lowers the starting price, with the electric version priced roughly €3,000 less than standard models. Orders open in September, with market launch scheduled for November 2026.
