Stellantis Vigo surpasses 80,000 lifetime blood donations

The Stellantis factory in Vigo has surpassed 80,000 cumulative blood donations since beginning its collaboration with the Axencia de Doazón de Órganos e Sangue (ADOS) in July 1995. This milestone establishes the company as a national leader in Spain for blood donation programs within the industrial sector.

During the most recent three-day campaign held from September 1 to September 3, 492 donations were recorded, including 19 first-time donors. This represents the third of four annual donation campaigns conducted by ADOS at the facility.

Over the past three decades, these contributions have had a significant medical impact, providing blood components necessary for more than 40,150 surgical procedures and platelet transfusions for over 16,000 oncology patients.
