Stellar expands real-world asset tokenization and prepares for Bell upgrade
Stellar has seen significant growth in its real-world asset (RWA) tokenization efforts, attracting $229 million in newly tokenized assets within a 30-day period. This activity has reportedly outperformed Solana in this specific metric. Additionally, Spiko’s holdings on the Stellar network have increased by 14%, reaching $1.9 billion.
The network is also preparing for the Bell upgrade, designated as Protocol 30. A testnet vote is scheduled for November 3, 2026, with a mainnet vote expected on November 23, 2026. The upgrade includes several key technical changes: CAP-84, which provides smart contract addresses with 64-bit identifiers; CAP-87, enabling quantum-secure ML-DSA signature verification; and CAP-88, which allows the ledger to record timestamps in milliseconds.
Further strengthening its infrastructure, Chainlink integrated its data feeds and data streams onto the Stellar network on October 14, 2026. These nine USD-based feeds cover assets such as XLM, Bitcoin, Ethereum, LINK, and various stablecoins, providing essential data for credit markets, prediction markets, and automated liquidations within Stellar’s $4 billion RWA ecosystem.
