Stella’s Girls leaders appointed to United Nations advocacy roles

Kaprece James, founder and CEO of the nonprofit Stella’s Girls, has been elected Vice Chair of The Working Group on Girls. This NGO coalition works with the United Nations to advance the rights, participation, and leadership of girls globally.

Additionally, Olivia Saint-Pierre, a student from Thomas Stone High School in Maryland and a Stella’s Girls youth leader, has been selected as a moderator for Girls Speak Out 2026. This international event is held in recognition of the International Day of the Girl.

Stella’s Girls plans to lead a delegation of approximately 10 to 15 girls to participate in the Girls Speak Out convening in New York on October 9, 2026.
