Stellenbosch University hosts 8th Social Justice Summit

At the 8th Social Justice Summit held at Stellenbosch University in the Western Cape, Deputy Minister Namane Dickson Masemola delivered a keynote address on behalf of South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile.

The summit's theme, ‘The District Development Model (DDM) Inter-Governmental Relations as Catalysts for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Social Justice,’ focuses on the necessity of cooperation across all levels of government. The address emphasized that addressing national challenges such as poverty, unemployment, inequality, and uneven service delivery requires coordinated action and shared responsibility rather than isolated institutional efforts.
