STEM and robotics education initiatives expand in Argentina
Educational initiatives focused on STEM, robotics, and programming are expanding in various regions of Argentina. In Bell Ville, the “Los Núcleos en tu escuela” program has launched robotics classes for primary school students at institutions including Colegio San José and schools such as Normal, Neuquén, and Florentino Ameghino.
The program provides comprehensive support by training teachers to use “Tecno Presente” robotics kits and conducting practical activities with children. These sessions aim to foster logical thinking, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving through hands-on technology experiences.
Simultaneously, the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Universidad Autónoma de Entre Ríos (UADER) in Concepción del Uruguay hosted an edition of Ada Lovelace Day. As part of a broader Latin American STEM workshop initiative involving over 100 locations, university students facilitated workshops for girls and adolescents. These activities included experiments on liquid density and programming exercises involving robotics to encourage interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
