STEM education initiatives held in Germany
Various STEM-focused educational initiatives are taking place in Germany, providing students and the public with hands-on scientific experiences.
At IGS Johanna Loewenherz, students from grades 5 to 13 participated in a STEM day involving excursions to several locations. Activities included visits to Museum Monrepos, the Neuwied Zoo, the Lava-Dome, the König Museum in Bonn, and the Senckenberg Museum and Palmengarten in Frankfurt. These trips aimed to provide practical insights into mathematics, technology, and natural sciences.
In Herzberg (Elster), the MINTup venue hosted the “SPACE im Ländlichen Raum” event. Organized by Space Berlin International, the program featured representatives from the aerospace sector, including experts from the Technical University of Berlin and the DLR School Lab at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. The event offered interactive space-themed experiments and opportunities for local youth to engage with professionals in the industry.
