Step-Soci community to receive multifunctional health center

Victoria Botezatu, a medical assistant who worked in Italy for 18 years, has returned to her native village of Step-Soci in the Orhei district to establish a multifunctional health center.

The proposed project aims to address several critical local needs, including elderly care for seniors living on low pensions and specialized services for people with disabilities. Botezatu noted that current support for children with disabilities often ceases after the age of 20, forcing parents to leave the workforce to provide care.

Additionally, the center plans to incorporate post-stroke recovery services. Local medical professionals have highlighted a lack of such facilities in the area, which currently requires residents to travel to Chișinău at high cost and with long waiting times for rehabilitation.
