Step Up Women’s Network, a Los Angeles-based non-profit that mentors young women, has severed ties with Love Island USA star Kayda Bosse. The decision follows backlash regarding comments Bosse made during the show’s reunion special.

During a heated exchange with fellow contestant Jaiden, Bosse made remarks regarding Jaiden’s past relationship with Caleb, stating, “I just want to say that hooking up is a two person thing.” The comments were described by viewers as “cruel” and “unnecessary.”

In an Instagram statement, Step Up Women’s Network acknowledged that the reunion brought to light conversations that caused “hurt and concern” within their community. The organization noted that while Bosse had been recently unveiled as a celebrity ambassador, the context of her involvement had changed. The charity emphasized its commitment to maintaining a space where women and girls feel “seen, heard, and supported.”

Bosse has reportedly lost over 100,000 followers following the episode and has not yet issued a public statement regarding her removal from the organization.
