Stephanie Benson reveals unconventional parenting tactic

Ghanaian-British singer Stephanie Benson has shared an unconventional parenting method she used while raising her children abroad. In an interview with Hitz FM, Benson revealed that she told her children she was a witch to discourage them from engaging in frivolous behavior.

Benson explained that the tactic was intended to help manage the challenges of parenting in a foreign environment where children face many outside influences. She told her children that, as a witch, she possessed the ability to know their actions before they even committed them. She noted that her success in this relied on her intuition and deep understanding of their characters.

The singer stated that her children believed the claim until they were approximately 20 years old. Benson added that despite the deception, the approach helped foster a close relationship with her children, with whom she maintains a friendship today.
