Stephanie March to reprise Alexandra Cabot role in Law & Order: SVU

Actress Stephanie March is set to return to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as assistant district attorney Alexandra Cabot. She will appear in the ninth episode of the show’s twenty-eighth season, marking her first appearance in the series since 2018.

March has portrayed the character in over 100 episodes, originally serving as a series regular from season two through season five. Her character’s departure in 2003 involved a storyline where she faked her death to enter witness protection after being targeted by a drug cartel. March has since made several guest appearances throughout the series.

Her return follows speculation regarding other franchise veterans, as Christopher Meloni is expected to bring his character, Elliot Stabler, back to the show for its milestone 600th episode.
