Stephen Curry maintains championship ambitions with Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry is entering his 18th NBA season at age 38, expressing a continued desire to win championships with the Golden State Warriors despite the team's recent struggles. Following a disappointing 37-45 season that saw the franchise miss the playoffs, Curry acknowledged that the team missed opportunities to add talent following their 2022 title. However, he also noted that injuries played a significant role in their recent performance.

The Warriors are working to rebuild their championship core, which includes Curry, Draymond Green, and head coach Steve Kerr. The roster faces immediate challenges as key players like Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody recover from knee surgeries, meaning the team will not be at full strength until later in the season. While the front office has faced scrutiny regarding offseason recruitment, the team has added players such as Georges Niang and Brandon Williams to support the veteran core.
