Stephen Curry reveals diagnosis of rare eye condition

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has revealed he played through a significant eye condition during the height of the team's championship era. Curry disclosed in an interview with People that he was diagnosed with Keratoconus, a progressive and potentially irreversible condition characterized by an irregular corneal shape that causes blurred and distorted vision.

The issue was first identified in 2018 after former Warriors general manager Bob Myers noticed Curry squinting during a television broadcast. Curry noted that he had been compensating for the distorted vision for years without realizing there was a medical cause.

To manage the condition, Curry now undergoes eye examinations every six months and utilizes a specific treatment plan in collaboration with Glaukos to stabilize his vision and reduce anxiety regarding the condition's progression.
