Stephen Curry sells Atherton estate for $29.1 million

Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have sold their Atherton, California, estate for $29.1 million. The property, which they purchased in December 2020 for $30 million, features approximately 1,650 square meters of living space, seven bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, a guest house, a pool, and a private wine cellar.

Parallel to these real estate movements, Curry’s professional future with the Golden State Warriors remains a focal point. Due to NBA age restrictions, any upcoming contract extension for the 38-year-old player cannot exceed two years, with a maximum potential value of $137 million. While the sale of the Atherton home has sparked speculation, there is currently no direct link between the real estate transaction and his commitment to the Warriors, as Curry has expressed a desire to retire in the Bay Area.
