Stephen F. Austin women's soccer defeats Sul Ross State 6-0

Stephen F. Austin (SFA) secured a 6-0 victory over Sul Ross State in their season opener at the SFA Soccer Field. After a scoreless first half characterized by defensive play from Sul Ross State goalkeeper Avery Owen, SFA broke the deadlock at the 37:11 mark.

Savanna Oberholtzer scored the game-winning goal, assisted by Amélie Prié and Sydney Williams. SFA dominated the second half, scoring five additional goals. Alyce Chappelle, Carlie Thurmond, Kamrynn Davis, Kensley Smith, and Lucie Platt all contributed to the scoring.

Kensley Smith and Alyce Chappelle each recorded a goal and an assist, while Kamrynn Davis also finished with one goal and one assist. Savanna Oberholtzer was named the Woman of the Match for her decisive opening goal.
