Stephen Graham joins cast of Michael Mann’s ‘Heat 2’
British actor Stephen Graham has officially joined the cast of ‘Heat 2’, the highly anticipated sequel and prequel to Michael Mann’s 1995 crime classic ‘Heat’.
Reports indicate Graham may portray a younger version of the master thief Neil McCauley, a role originally made iconic by Robert De Niro. The production features an expansive ensemble cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, who is expected to play Chris Shiherlis; Christian Bale, slated to play a young detective Vincent Hanna; and Adam Driver, alongside Jason Clarke and Odessa Young.
The project, based on the book by Michael Mann and Meg Gardiner, has transitioned from Warner Bros. to Amazon MGM Studios. While casting negotiations for some lead actors remain ongoing, the film is moving forward toward production.
