Stephen King names favorite thriller and worst horror film

Author Stephen King has shared his specific cinematic preferences, highlighting both his favorite non-horror film and his least favorite horror film.

King expressed high praise for Clint Eastwood’s thriller “Mystic River.” In a past column for Entertainment Weekly, King compared the film favorably to more hyped works, describing it as an “absolute delight” due to its sharp screenplay and strong performances by actors such as Sean Penn and Kevin Bacon.

Conversely, King identified the 1963 cult film “Blood Feast,” directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis, as the worst horror film of all time. The film, known for its extreme violence and role in pioneering the splatter and gore genres, was noted for its controversial marketing and graphic content.
