Stephen Wagley criticizes lack of oversight for data centers and surveillance

Louisiana congressional candidate Stephen Wagley has criticized local officials for a lack of transparency regarding the expansion of data centers and Flock surveillance cameras. Speaking on Breitbart News Saturday, Wagley argued that career politicians are signing non-disclosure agreements with private corporations that are funded by taxpayer dollars, preventing public oversight.

Wagley, who serves as the chief operating officer of Delta College, expressed concern that residents are unable to see how data center projects impact the electrical grid or personal utility bills. He noted that many citizens are already experiencing rising electricity costs before these facilities are even completed.

Additionally, Wagley raised privacy concerns regarding Flock surveillance cameras, alleging that some police departments have misused the technology to monitor residents without limits. He called for greater accountability and transparency in how these private-sector deals are approved and funded.
