Øster Hurup local history archive seeks funding for expansion

The Øster Hurup Local History Association is nearing full funding for new premises and an archive extension at Solbjergvej 2B. The project currently faces a shortfall of approximately 100,000 DKK.

Following the City Council's decision in March to sell the association's previous location at Havnen 2, 400,000 DKK from the sale proceeds was reserved for the new construction. The association has since secured roughly one million DKK from external contributors and contributed approximately 100,000 DKK of its own funds.

The Committee for Culture and Leisure will meet on October 1 to consider a proposal to cover any remaining balance up to 100,000 DKK. If approved, the municipality would only pay the actual remaining amount once construction is completed, provided the association continues seeking external support and self-financing.
