Sterling Nasa to Play Principal Piano at LA Greek Theatre for La La Land Anniversary

University student Sterling Nasa, 21, was spotted in the Sydney audience of a "La La Land In Concert" when composer‑conductor Justin Hurwitz asked for an audience member to fill in for a sick musician. Nasa stepped onto stage, his performance went viral worldwide and he was later invited by Hurwitz to perform the principal piano part at the concert’s 10th‑anniversary show in Los Angeles. The concert will take place at the historic Greek Theatre in Griffith Park, near the observatory featured in the film. Nasa, who previously played the celeste in Sydney, said the opportunity feels "pretty surreal" and he is preparing for a more challenging piano repertoire.
