Österreichische Lotterien celebrates 40th anniversary in Vienna

Österreichische Lotterien celebrated its 40th anniversary at the Wiener Konzerthaus, hosting representatives from politics, sports, culture, and business. The event highlighted the company’s history, tracing its roots back to the 1752 lottery privilege granted by Maria Theresa.

During the celebration, the company emphasized its social and economic contributions, noting that 2.3 billion euros have been channeled into sports promotion over the past four decades. Partner organizations, including Österreichische Sporthilfe and Sport Austria, were recognized for their ongoing projects.

General Director Erwin van Lambaart focused on the future of the company, highlighting innovation, digitalization, and the development of responsible gaming. These priorities come as the company prepares for the upcoming concession award process.
