Östersund hotels see strong summer growth

The hospitality sector in Östersund has experienced a strong summer season, characterized by high hotel occupancy and rising prices. According to Visita and industry reports, growth is being driven by the ‘coolcation’ trend, favorable mountain weather, and a high number of returning Norwegian guests. In June and July, guest nights increased by 3 percent compared to the previous year, while hotel revenue per available room rose by 11 percent.

In other regional business news, Hotel Stensson in Eslöv is working to transform its establishment into a community hub through themed evenings and lectures. Additionally, Hörby Maskinmontage AB, a manufacturer in the water treatment industry, has secured a significant large-scale order from Norway.
