Stevan Sadiku wins European Junior Judo Championship gold
Stevan Sadiku has become the European Junior Judo Champion after winning the gold medal in the under 81 kg category at the championships held in Podgorica. Sadiku secured his title with five victories, defeating competitors from Poland, Hungary, Azerbaijan, and Russia before winning the final against Akhmed Turluev.
This victory marks Montenegro’s first junior European judo title since Danilo Pantić won gold in 2015. The Montenegrin team finished the individual competition in eighth place in the general medal standings. In the over 100 kg category, Stefan Kovinić narrowly missed a medal, losing the bronze match to Azerbaijan’s Ramazan Ahmadov.
