Stevan Sadiku wins European Junior Judo Championship gold

Stevan Sadiku, a member of the Miloš Stanković Judo Club from Zeta, has become the European Junior Judo Champion. Competing in the under 81 kg category at the championships in Podgorica, Sadiku secured the gold medal after a series of victories.

Sadiku defeated competitors from Poland, Hungary, and Azerbaijan to reach the final. In the semi-finals, he beat Yaroslav Bundakov of Russia, and in the final match, he overcame Ahmed Turluev, also from Russia, to claim the title. This victory marks Montenegro’s first major junior European judo medal since 2015.

Following his success, Sadiku has set his sights on the World Junior Championships, which are scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan in two months.
